Scuba Diving Can Kill You

Statistically, scuba diving is safer than bowling. In other words, more people per year get injured in a bowling alley than they do scuba diving! Although scuba diving is safe if you follow the rules, break the rules, and all bets are off. Break the rules, and scuba diving, can indeed, kill you. Scuba Gods is fairly confident that you won’t find that particular gem mentioned on many other scuba diving related websites. The question is why? What are they afraid of? Don’t you deserve the truth? Scuba Gods thinks so, and here it is....

During the academic portion of your PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification course, you will learn important information regarding “Decompression Sickness” (also known as “The Bends”) and “Lung Over-Expansion” injuries (also known as “Air Embolism”) and how to safely avoid such things (i.e.following the rules). During the confined water portion of your certification course, you will practice in-water emergency rescue procedures designed to save your life and the lives of others in the unlikely event a problem should occur while scuba diving. Should such important information be approached from the standpoint of cramming for a college final exam? How much of this information do you think you will retain a month after completing the course? Should it be rushed through, glossed over, or skipped entirely? This is as serious as it ever gets, and for good reason. You can’t put a price on knowledge such as this that could save your life, but read on, and you’ll discover how some Maui scuba diving companies are trying to do just that....
