The PADI “Open Water Diver” referral option allows you to finish your certification course “Hawaiian Style”, in warm, clear water, on a coral reef, the way diving was meant to be. Small class size (4 students max) guarantees you a first class experience, both above and below the surface, you will never forget. (Minimum age is 10 years old)

Note: All referral certification students must provide referral paperwork, signed off by your initiating instructor, prior to diving.

Note: Scuba Gods assumes you have completed the required swim test and all academic and confined water sessions, prior to arrival.

Note: All referral certification students must allow up to 18 hours between diving and flying, or booking any other altitude related activities during your stay on Maui, including helicopter tours, Haleakala National Park, and the road to Hana. 

Note: You cannot get a refund, should you fail the course.

Is your instructor double booked?

FYI: Some dive operations on Maui double book their instructors with both morning and afternoon referral certification dives, requiring all dives to start and end at a precise, predetermined time. Unfortunately, this translates into shorter underwater dive time for you. The Scuba Gods way: Our instructors are never double booked.

Are you using full sized scuba tanks?

FYI: Some dive operations on Maui use smaller 50 and 63 cubic ft. scuba tanks for referral certification dives. Unfortunately, smaller tanks hold less air, which translates into shorter underwater dive time for you. The Scuba Gods way: We use full sized, 80 cubit ft. scuba tanks, for all referral certification dives.
